Cookie policy

A cookie is a small file a site stores in your browser. Here is exactly which ones elap.solar uses, and how you choose what runs.

How you choose

The first time you arrive we show a notice with three categories. Necessary cookies are always on, because the site does not work without them. Analytics and marketing start switched off and run only if you accept them.

You can change your choice at any time from the “Cookie preferences” link in the footer. If you withdraw a category we stop loading those tools immediately and delete what they stored on our domain, identifiers included. What a third party stored on its own domain is beyond our reach: that is removed from your browser settings.

Necessary

Always on. Without them you cannot sign in or submit the form safely.

Analytics

These load only if you accept this category. They tell us how many people visit, from which country and which pages they read, so we know what is worth writing.

Google Analytics 4, from Google Ireland Limited. Google does not receive your name or email from here, and Analytics does not store your IP address: it uses it to infer the country and discards it. It sets these cookies:

Marketing

These load only if you accept this category. They let us measure which LinkedIn campaign brought the visit and show ads to people who already know the product.

LinkedIn Insight Tag, from LinkedIn Ireland Unlimited Company. It sets the cookies below. Their lifetimes are set by LinkedIn and published in LinkedIn's own cookie table:

Removing them from your browser

Every browser lets you view and delete stored cookies and block third-party ones, under its privacy settings. Note that blocking the necessary ones stops parts of the site from working.
