Changelog

What ships into the plugin, release by release

A public log of what lands in ELAP. No roadmap, no promises: only capabilities that are already in the tool, with their declared scope.

ELAP is under active development. This log is updated with every release.

Point of connection with provenance, the Argentine system case, and site prospecting

  • Electrical

Interconnection lens: the substation on the map and the bus in the system case become one selectable candidate. Before anything is written to the drawing, an offer shows the point of connection, short-circuit power, X/R, and voltage, each figure carrying its declared origin: operator case, open-grid screening, or typed by you.

  • Electrical

Minimum short-circuit power finally has somewhere to land. It is the number that decides whether protection sees the fault, and until now it was computed, printed, and dropped. When the case does not provide it, the field stays empty and the offer says so — the maximum is never copied in its place.

  • Data

The Argentine system case downloads from inside the plugin: 0.36 MB read out of the 347 MB reference archive, fetching only the scenario you asked for. The short-circuit envelope takes its floor from a real off-peak dispatch and its ceiling from a peak one, each end attributed to its scenario.

  • Electrical

PSS/E case buses carry no coordinates: matching them by name and voltage against the open grid gives each one a place and a distance to your site. A bus with no match does not drop off the list, and an ambiguous one is declared ambiguous instead of being resolved by proximity.

  • Electrical

Six new studies: auto-reclose with dead time, instrument transformers with saturation evaluated at the burden actually connected, frequency events with windowed ROCOF, islanding — including the blind zone of a balanced island —, plant controller loss, and bus-split contingency.

  • Electrical

Grid data that was never entered now says so, in the window and in the calculation report. The default value stopped being indistinguishable from a figure somebody verified.

  • Civil

Redesigned pile distribution window, with the park map and families told apart. The slope limit rebuilds the piles instead of relabelling them, and the slope what-if now answers in both directions.

  • Product

A site screened on the web lands in the drawing through ELAP_IMPORT_PROSPECT: boundary, exclusions, point of connection, and the site origin in latitude and longitude. The web supplies the coordinates; you type none of them.

Earthwork takeoff, multi-provider weather, and protection coordination

  • Civil

Earthwork takeoff: cut surplus with swell and compaction factors, trench backfill, and civil quantity rows integrated into the BOM.

  • Data

Multi-provider weather: PVGIS, NASA POWER, Open-Meteo, NSRDB, and Solcast, with your own API key per provider stored encrypted on your machine.

  • Electrical

Protection coordination with inverter backfeed, IEC 60255 time-current curves, and MV ring verification under N-1 contingency.

  • Electrical

Interactive TCC curve workbench to tune and document coordination.

  • Electrical

MV collector and HV line sizing with tapered feeders per segment.

  • Electrical

BESS inside the drawing flow: from container layout to the single-line diagram.
